San Diego Weekend

December 1, 2009

So, I guess I have to start this travel post with a caveat, which isn’t the most elegant way to start a travel post.
See, Mel Heth left a comment (thanks Mel!) that apparently started all of your imaginations going way, way out of control.
Yes, I did go down to San Diego to meet [...]

You’ve Lost That Writing Feeling

November 17, 2009

Ever have one of those weeks where the writing bug disappears entirely?
This is one of those weeks.  Apparently.
I keep finding myself starting a post, getting about halfway through a draft, then just staring at the screen feeling “meh” about it.

Protected: Who Needs A Mood Ring?

October 28, 2009

There is no excerpt because this is a protected post.

New Page

October 11, 2009

Not a big thing, but I’ve added a new page to the blog tonight.
I’ve been wanting to put together a page of the header photos for a while, and finally buckled down and searched for them all tonight.
If I’ve forgotten any, do let me know, will you?

Multitasking Deficiency

August 20, 2009

If there’s one skill that I wish I could obtain, it would be multitasking.
Wait, is multitasking a “skill” or more of a “trait”?  I mean, is it truly a skill that can be learned or taught, or is it an innate trait that one tends to be good at or not?

As Only Old Friendships Can

August 17, 2009

(I’m actually hesitant to post this.  Mainly because I think the writing sucks.  *sigh*)
I’ve been feeling oddly uninspired to write lately, and I don’t know why.
Maybe it’s just writers block, or this feeling of minor melancholy that’s descended on me for the last week or so.
Or maybe it’s just that my life seems pretty damn [...]

Oh, Yeah, I’ve Got A Blog

August 10, 2009

Oh, hey, how ya ‘doin?
Yeah, I’ve got this blog here, see, but seems I’ve been ignoring for the past few days, haven’t I?
Terribly rude of me.
I suppose sometimes the mind just demands one take a break from certain mental activities.  Whether I’d planned it or not seems not to matter.

Nearly Perfect

June 21, 2009

It’s been a long day.  In fact, it’s been the longest day of the year.
Being the height of summer, and having no definitive plans for the day, I figured I’d go ahead and do the things I knew I’d like.
So, what makes for the gosh-darn-near-perfect summer day?

The Hike That Wasn’t

May 26, 2009

(Another rambling BlackBerry post that I’m just putting up tonight.  Maybe it’s because I work with computers all week, but I never seem to pull out the machine to do posts on the weekend…)
I’d come up to the Angeles today with the intention of hiking. Instead, I find myself sitting near a roadside pullout, writing [...]

Concentrating Too Hard On Work…

May 4, 2009

…does not for good blogging make.
Truthfully, in this economy, I can’t complain too much.  I have a decent job and it pays a decent salary.
That said, I can’t deny that it’s a little hard not to be jealous of the friend who got laid off, then headed out of the country for a month.  Especially [...]
