Branching Out… For The Worse?

March 9, 2009

Lately I’ve found myself spending more and more time online.  I’m not entirely convinced that it’s a good thing.

‘Goin South

January 29, 2009

I don’t think I can tell you all much about where I was last weekend for two reasons:
1) Because it’s one of those places that really should be kept secret
2) So many of my readers are from, for whatever reason, more frigid parts of the country.  And reading this would make them all want to [...]

Take Every Opportunity?

December 17, 2008

Last weekend I was invited to a birthday dinner. It was for one of the people in one of the groups that I occasionally do activities with.
I was initially inclined to go, but when the evening rolled around, I just, well, didn’t. For whatever reason, I just didn’t want to. Didn’t want [...]

How Odd*

May 4, 2008

I don’t spend a whole lot of time looking at the Blog Stats pages that WordPress provides. As lovely as they are, with cool charts and lists of incoming links and references and what not, obsessing over my daily hit count just isn’t my thing.
After all, I have some high quality commenters, which is [...]

Festival of Books

April 28, 2008

Here’s why I ask: I’ve never really been referred to as “handsome.” But I have, often, been referred to as “cute.” (We’re just going to ignore the “you’re not a model” statement, [...]

An Ode To My Burned Feet*
Standing in shower
Water falls like tiny sharp daggers
On red sun burnt feet
*Yep. Somehow I managed to burn the tops of my feet while kayaking yesterday, despite two thick applications of sunscreen. Even did the whole 30-minutes-before-you-go-out thing. Bloody Hell it hurts.

Say Hello!

January 10, 2008

New post below, but for all you lurkers out there: I just found out via good ‘bloggin friend Just A Girl’s site that today is De-Lurker Day. So if you’ve been lurking about the site, why don’t you drop a comment and say “hi”? C’mon, you know you want to.

Oh, Did I Not Mention…

I have some mad pumpkin carving skills.

… And Nothing Happened

September 5, 2007

The first part of that sentence?  “I had lunch with a girl today…”
So there I am, eating lunch outside in the shade, when a pretty girl asks if she can sit with me, since the only other table left open has no umbrella.
